ABOUT

ABOUT

ABOUT ME

I'm a qualified experienced therapist offering appointments across Europe. I have worked as a therapist in the British National Health System for years and had the privilege of studying with the most prominent figures in the field of CBT research. I consider myself blessed for all those years, I've met a vast variety of clients and learned a lot from their stories.

I have then decided to step into private practice, to be able to fully dedicate to my clients and provide a more tailored approach.

HOW I WORK

I am committed to creating a space where you feel able to speak freely about what troubles you, and to working with you to achieve your goals.

I won't tell you what to do, but I will support you overcome the issue by using your strengths.

I am really passionate about offering support to expats as I also live between two countries and I understand the difficulties of living far away from home, but of course my services aren't limited to that!

MY SPECIALTIES

I am mostly specialised in treating low self-esteem and trauma. While our mind is a beautiful thing, sometimes it can become our worst enemy, and turn against us. This leads to problems like:

  • Not believing in ourselves, the imposter syndrome

  • Not applying for the job we really want, because we think we’re not good enough for it

  • Procrastination (in school, at uni, in work, at home, even hobbies)

  • Not enjoying going out for fear of others’ judgement

  • Being in a toxic or abusive relationship

  • Not being able to let go of a difficult or traumatic past

I can support you challenge those beliefs, make your mind your ally again, and develop a compassionate self-dialogue with yourself. This doesn’t mean condoning the past or making it ok, but rather being understanding towards ourselves and our pain.

SERVICES

Individual CBT

CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)

is a talking therapy that is based on the concept that your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and actions are interconnected, and that negative thoughts and feelings can trap you in a vicious cycle.

Individual therapy can help you explore the unhelpful beliefs that keep the problem going, and then help you find a more helpful way of thinking about the situation, put things in perspective, or see yourself in a more positive light.

Individual EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy is a method that involves moving your eyes a specific way while you process traumatic memories to help you heal from trauma.

Unlike CBT, EMDR doesn't require you to talk about the traumatic event as much, as memories are processed in a more organic manner.

EMDR can be useful for people who have witnessed or experienced an event like a car accident, a violent crime, sexual or emotional abuse, bullying, a social humiliation or the sudden loss of a loved one, and are struggling to recover.

Groups

In a group setting, the therapist will guide the group through learning about a specific problem and provide you with techniques to manage it.

You won't be expected to share anything you don't feel comfortable sharing.

You might think that groups are a "standardized" option, however groups can help normalize your difficulties, make you feel less alone, and provide you with a network of support of people struggling with similar difficulties.

There's nothing worse than feeling like you're on your own when you're struggling.

Please note: Groups are online only.

Fees:

£60 per face-to-face session (currently unavailable)

£50 per online session

£30 per 1 group session or £150 per 6 group sessions
(groups are online only at the moment)

Concessions available. Please contact me for further information.
